Summary: Performs law enforcement duties related to enforcing laws, maintaining peace, and protecting life and property. Works under general supervision of a patrol sergeant, lieutenant and Chief. Patrols areas of Centerville City, responds to calls for service, controls traffic, writes reports, transports prisoners, represents a positive image to the public at all times, serves legal notices, summons, and warrants as required, attends wide variety of training to include proficiency in firearms and driving tactics. Will submit to a psychological evaluation and drug test.
Minimum Requirements: Must be 21 years old, no disqualifying criminal records, maintain certifications, graduate from high school, P.O.S.T. Certified / Certifiable, and be able to pass the URMMA Physical Fitness Standards Test, have a current valid Utah driver’s license, and demonstrate good moral character, free of emotional, physical, mental conditions that might adversely affect the performance of duty as a police officer.

Notice is hereby given that the Centerville City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 3, 2016, beginning at 7:00 p.m., or as soon as the matter may be heard, in the City Council Chambers at the Centerville City Hall Building, 250 North Main Street, Centerville, Utah, regarding the proposed Fourth Amendment to Legacy Crossing at Parrish Lane PDO approval, to allow “recreational vehicle sales” and services/repairs as an accessory for Phase 2 and Phase 3.
