If you love the outdoors, Centerville has much to offer in the way of parks, developed and open space, as well as miles of trails winding through the foothills and along the Great Salt Lake.

City Parks Trails Park Pavilion Rentals

Centerville City Parks

All parks have drinking fountains, electricity, lights, barbecue grills, picnic tables and free internet access via wifi at the boweries. Restrooms are available at all parks from April 16th through October 14th. They are winterized from October 15th through April 15th. Note that all parks close at 10:30 p.m.

The facilities of this park are bowery, playground, sand volleyball, drinking fountains, 4 multi-sport fields and a jogging path

The facilities of Island View Park are located on three levels. Level 1 includes a bowery, handball courts and sand volley ball. Level 2 includes lighted tennis courts and playground. Level 3 includes baseball and soccer fields, walking path and playground. A small pavilion is located on the upper tier of the park. Nets are provided.

The facilities of Porter Walton Park include playground, basketball courts, drinking fountains, barbecue grills and a perimeter walking path.

The facilities of Freedom Hills Park include a Veterans Memorial, playground, drinking fountains, barbecue grills, jogging paths and two trail heads; one for hikers and one for equestrian use.

The facilities of Smoot Park include lighted tennis courts, playground, drinking fountain, barbecue grills, and sand volleyball. A small pavilion is available at the west side of the park.

Centerville has over 30 miles of trails!

 

Park Pavilion Reservations

Pavilion reservations are done on a first-come first-served basis. Pavilions may be reserved for dates between April 15th and October 15th for any day except Sundays and holidays. Reservations are taken the same year beginning the first business day of March at 8:00am.

To reserve a pavilion you will need to to do following:

Reserve your pavilion, if available, by visiting our Recreation Registration site. Look for Reserve Park Or Facilities and then choose your park: ONLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM

NOTE:

If you meet one of the following conditions, you will not be able to use the online reservation form but will need to COME TO CITY HALL to submit the PARK PAVILION RESERVATION ADDENDUM(.pdf):

  • Need additional assistance from the City for your event
  • An event that exceeds the pavilion capacity
  • Is longer than 5 hours
  • Expect 500+ guests
  • Will use open space outside of the pavilion such as booths, stages, inflatables (BOUNCY TOYS), etc.
  • Plan to sell anything during your event
