City Links

Every year Centerville celebrates the independence of the citizens of the United States with parades, races, fireworks, carnivals and music. The 4th of July Committee is a volunteer group of citizens that pull it all together. The committee is usually comprised of subcommittees in charge of specific aspects of the celebration. The following are the positions and subcommittees that usually need to be filled every year:

  • 4th of July Committee Chair
  • 4th of July Committee Finances
  • Parade Subcommittee
  • Concert in the Park
  • Breakfast in the Park
  • Children's Parade
  • Carnival/5K/Children's Races (sponsored by the Rotary Club)
  • Public Outreach/Marketing

Serving on this committee is a challenging and fun experience and a great opportunity to provide a service to the residents of Centerville that leaves smiles on everyone's faces and promotes a community spirit. Check out the 4th of July page on this website to see what was accomplished last year or what is going on this year.

If you are interested in serving on the committee, you can fill out a Community Service Statement of Interest and Qualifications Form and submit to City Hall (either in person, mail or online).
