·  Do you have a green waste pickup day?
·  Is there a time frame that outside watering is only permitted at?
·  If a neighborhood wanted to change the name of their street from a number to a name in honor of someone what would it take to do that?
·   Can I paint the fire hydrant in front of my house?
·  Is there a landfill (garbage dump) a available to Centerville residents (whether in Centerville or Bountiful)?
·  What is the city code in regards to septic tanks?
·  what are the regulations for cleaning up leaves? Do they have to be bagged, or can they just be swept out into the street? If I have a neighbor in violation, who do I contact?
·  I live on Islandview Dr. and our street is never plowed and it is it is just one pass right down the middle, I would like to know why the whole road cannot get plowed?

·  Do you have a green waste pickup day?

No, we currently do not. The City will likely offer a cleanup day starting in the Spring of 2007

·  Is there a time frame that outside watering is only permitted at?

The City does not have restrictions by law. Both secondary water companies in the City recommend watering between 6:00 pm and 10:00 am. Restrictions can change if we are in drought years.

·  If a neighborhood wanted to change the name of their street from a number to a name in honor of someone what would it take to do that?

The City Council would need to approve such a change. The place to begin is with Community Development 292-3477

·  Is there a landfill (garbage dump) a available to Centerville residents (whether in Centerville or Bountiful)?

The only landfill available to Centerville residents is the Wasatch Energy Recovery District in Layton.

·  What is the city code in regards to septic tanks?

Septic tanks are not allowed within the City. Dwellings are required to connect to the sanitary sewer. For additional information contact Community Development, 292-8232

·  what are the regulations for cleaning up leaves? Do they have to be bagged, or can they just be swept out into the street? If I have a neighbor in violation, who do I contact?

They cannot be swept onto the street. There is a city-wide green waste cleanup in April where green waste including leaves may be placed on the curb and will be picked up for free. The upcoming newsletter will have more details. For violations, contact the public works department, 292-8232.
